Hello all,
I'm new to the world of distributed A/V such as with the Dish Network VIP222K. Dual Sat tuners (OTA tuner card missing), my TV is being used as my OTA tuner, fine by me. Wanting to connect a bedroom TV to Sat tuner 2. Below is my basic current setup with two diplexers and a splitter. All is well. Below that is what I'm thinking I need to do to bring the modulated output from the sat out to the distribution box outside and back in to the second tv.

Can someone give me a thumbs up or thumbs down?

Preciated,

Mark

No go -
You need to put TV2 AFTER the diplexers - put a 3/4 way splitter where you have the 722K coming in, and Ant to TV1. Putting TV2 on that as well solves all the problems.

Gah! I was hoping to use that single coax run from distribution outside to the main tv to do it all.. what you just described doesn't ring clearly to me for some reason..

What am I splitting 3 ways? Pardon my ignorance.

Isnt your splitter below your HDTV w/ SpongeBob pointed the wrong way?

You have an input on an output.

You need two use 1 for the OTA input and the other for the VIP mod output - feeding the 1 signal to the HDTV. If the splitter is cheap, i guess it could work - however, if there is any type of isolation between the 2, the way you have it shown will not work.

In all honesty, better to use a jointenna or a Tin Lee device there anyway instead of that "splitter" that you are actually using as a combiner.
