First post, hi everyone.

I just got a new Sylvania 32 inch TV for my birthday and I've been playing my PS3 on it and it looks really good but I have everything set to the standard settings and I was wondering what I should set them to, on the TV and on the PS3 to get the maximum quality out of the TV and PS3.

I had a old Panasonic TV that I used for 2-3 years and when I played online, everything was fine, and I was able to play my MLB 09 game great online and was great at hitting, pitching ect... But when I got the new TV, everything changed and my timing was way off when I played online and I wasn't able to catch up to anything when hitting, pitching was a problem at first but I was able to fix that for the most part but its the hitting that is killing me.

I want to find out what settings I should have my TV set to and the PS3, so I can stop sucking so bad on this nice TV. I was refered here by another forum so I really hope you guys can help me out on this.

The TV I am using is a Sylvania lc320slx 720p LCD HDTV

LCD HDTV's unfortunately are not ideal for gaming due to their response time.

Also, many HDTVs have post processing effects that alter the picture like sharpining tools or color correction tools (usually found in the menu) and that can introduce lag.

Take a look at this link and try some of the tips and hopefully it will help your situation
