I guess the more I drink the louder it gets. According to my wife. Anyone else have this problem?

I do. Fortunately my kids rooms are on the other side of the house. Unfortunately they are light sleepers, but fortunately again, I don't drink that often.

Before you start drinking, hide the remote. Too drunk to remember where you put it, too lazy to get up and use the volume knob. Problem solved.

I was with friends at my apt at school, we were intoxicated to say the least and turned it up the whole way. My ears hurt the next day and when I looked at the volume on my receiver I remembered why.

I've had the police show up once at about 3 am because my bass was too loud. Needless to say, I was still up at 3am because I was drinking. I only got a warning though.

alcohol reduces your hearing sensitivity. You can look it up. The reduced sensitivity, however, does not protect your ears from the ill effects of high decibel listening. A potential quandry . . .

I enjoy sipping on a couple o' cocktails and cranking some good tunes. Fortunately, my setup is in the basement and doesn't disturb the wife and lil' ones... too much. Rock on!http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/BBS/images/smiles/bandsmilie.gif

Went to Club Mur Mur in the Borgata. When we got there the music was way too loud for my ears. After a few drinks, it was not loud enough. After we left, we were screaming at each other. That's why drunk people are so loud.

Drunk + volume control = broken speakers

Both times the police have been to my place for loud music I have not been drinking.

My general rule is to avoid doing things that draw police attention when under the influence. Nothing good usually comes from being drunk and involved with police.

It can never be too loud.

It can never be too loud.

Then obviously your stereo is lacking. ;)
