So here's the deal.

I own a PS3 and a WDTV. Both play my various video files well and in the order they are in their respective folders. However, I would like a media player that can actually do a great job playing a custom video playlist.

I don't need a networked device as I store all my media on portable hard drives. It would just be nice to load a custom playlist onto the drive and have the media player play the files.

It looks like Popcorn Hour still doesn't have this feature yet, nor does TViX from what I understand. Are there any players out there that support this?

I would be accepting of basic video playlist importing, but it would be nice to have the option to create a playlist directly from the device's interface.

Anyone know of a device that can handle this most basic of tasks? :)

XBMC can create playlists (video included) on the fly as you browse the GUI.

I did not know that. Can it play random selections as well?

Random enough.

Add EVERYTHING to a playlist.
Goto now playing
turn on shuffle
