Calibrators!!!

Do the new LED edge lite TVs need to be broken in OR (as one calibrator told me) they do not need to be before calibrating???

I'd do it for the sake of lemon aid. Early mortality stuff. May as well put some hours on it to determine if the TV is a dog or not. Don't want to throw money into a pro calibration if the TV is only going to go south on you in a few weeks.

Now if your calibrator is local to you ... just arrange for a double visit then. Do it now ... and get him to promise to come back in 4 months ... let's say ... to do a recal. This is a win win .... the revisit won't take very long anyway and should be no big deal to the local guy.

That said ... the 8000 and 6000 units that I worked on three weeks ago in a store front fresh out of the box ... are still humming along 250 hours later.
