I have my down-firing sub on carpet (which is ontop of floor padding) in the basement and the sub absolutely rocks the house however its really just rocking the walls in the house, not the floor in the basement. Therefor it is tough to actually feel the subs bass on your feet because of the carpet and padding.

Is there anyway around this? Would putting the sub ontop of a floor tire help?

I just installed bass shakers into the seats (which are amazing) however it feels odd to feel vibrations in your back and butt but not your feet

I would not expect a subwoofer to "rock" a concrete floor. It's just *way* too much mass for that to happen. If you want to feel the bass in your feet, move your sub upstairs onto a suspended floor. Other wise, build a riser/platform, place the seating on it and install shakers in it.

Actually I just decided to sit on the subwoofer and put the bass shakers under my feet.

I installed a "floating floor" over my concrete slab so that I could couple my subs to my seats (and feet).
