My panasonic 32 inches (model CT-32D32F) was working fine for past 7 years. Recently it started having issues. While the TV is on it automatically turns off and then it doesn't turn on using remote or front panel switch. After 3-5 minutes it turns on automatically. It keeps on doing this sometimes intermittently and other times very frequently.
I have already unplugged power cord and left it unplugged for 24hrs, but issue is not resolved. I read somewhere that this "master reset" the TV set.
Took it to repair shop for diagnosis (cost me 30 bucks). After diagnosis the repair shop quoted me 300 bucks for repairs. When I asked what is wrong with TV, they told me TV requires "relay" replacement. I looked over internet to find how much relay cost and found that it is under 6 bucks. 300 bucks for 6 dollar relay?? I can't digest this fact .
How easy it is to replace the relay myself (if I can find correct part from panasonic).
Does it seems that the issue is related to relay?
Any information or advice would be appreciable. Thanks
