fcorona76 06-25-09, 07:29 AM Todays deal is on either the PS3 or X360 version of FRACTURE for $9.98.

It's not a bad game but it is not really that great either. It was a weekend rental for me and I had some fun with the Multiplayer elements. It is more of the same for a shooter...is it worth less than $10? That's too close to call. It's worth a rental for a dollar or two less but if you are the type that likes to have a library of games then here's a great deal!

DO NOT BUY
Don't say I didn't warn you. The game isn't worth even that price. Rental at best.
It's short, it's buggy, it's repetitive, the terrain deformation is cool for a few min at best, and you can tell the last 1/3 was just phoned in.
Thanks for the heads up....but ill pass on this lame title. It went back to GF the same day I got it

Kind of my sentiment too but the deal is there even if it is for a crappy game...
number1laing 06-25-09, 10:31 AM Better to put that $10 towards a good game. For example Red Faction.
MaxDam77 06-25-09, 10:41 AM Amazon has Dark Sector for 6$! BRAND NEW!

oh no, keep these thread coming, as it's always great info.

Dark Sector is an infinitely better game than Fracture. Put the $10 towards that and get the good shipping!

A little off topic here but I remember when I was a youngin' back in the late 80's I could go up to the local shopping mall where there was a, long since extinct, Woolworth that had so many BRAND NEW Sega Master System and Nintendo NES games for $3 and less. My parents always wondered how I would keep getting these games and where I could possibly get the money for them...that's how cheap they were (FYI, I'd save my milk/lunch money for a week and skip a meal at school here and there and I could buy another game ;) ). Well, from those deals I got a lot of stinkers but I sometimes got a real gem...Blaster Master & Solstice were among my favorite <$3 games! Those are the only two games I can remember from the 2 or so dozen games I purchased so that tells you the quality of the remainder of them...
Anyway, on topic again, Dark Sector is one of those gems too and for $6 you'd be silly not to get it!

number1laing 06-25-09, 11:22 AM Blaster Master was rad. Borrowed it from my uncle.
Is that the one where you were a kid that chased his frog down a hole and found a sort-of tank that you could get out of to climb some ladders and whatnot? I don't think I ever finished it.

Yup. I play it on my PSP all the time. One of my favorite NES games. Definitely top 10.

That was the one!
I loved it aside from the painful grinding that was required to try to get the fully upgraded weapons in the Gauntlet-style boss stages. I'd buy this game as a PSN HD downloadable game!

+ $8 shipping. . .
Get it from Newegg. Bizarrely it's $10 on the PS3 and $8 on the 360, but with free shipping either way.
caledonia1 06-25-09, 03:35 PM Dark Sector is probably the best game out there http://www.*****************/trafficreport/img/3721/k08t1221bbuq/gdsmile.gif

Yeah, thanks for the info! I just did too! ;)
funsocaltiger 06-25-09, 10:36 PM I second the Dark Sector comments. It was the best $2 I spent (bought it for $10 on Newegg and then sold it for $8). The annoying thing about DS though is the lack of trophies despite all the achievements or whatever that flash on the screen. Also, I hate the SixAxis sections b/c I always find those portions of games gimmicky.
Most of those other games, and Fracture, are only worth $10 if you are planning to sell it for at least $5 (making your ownership cost <=$5). Otherwise, $10 is $10 you can put towards a GOOD game.
