I'm planning on buying XBOX 360.
I have Sony 36HQ100 16:9 CRT and I'm pretty satisfied with it, but I'm wondering will I get a good picture with XBOX 360?

I've gamed on a RCA widescreen CRT that was similar (the one with the integrated Directv receiver- http://www.amazon.com/RCA-F38310-38-Built-Receivers/dp/B00005BIB8) via a component cable connection and it looked pretty damn good.

I would expect the same out of your set.

I sure as hell hope that this will look good on my TV also.
I'm going to switch to LCD eventually, but I like to wait it out a bit and buy a decent LCD, not some "quick crap".

P.S. none of my friends have XBOX 360 so I can't try it before buying... :/

I just re-read the specs on your set and you have no HD capabilities, correct? If so, it wont be as nice as what I played on.

What little standard def. gaming I've done with the 360 wasnt the best in the world. Menus that were hard to read were by far the biggest annoyance.

Is there a VGA -> SCART converter he could use? For some reason I thought there was, but I'm not too familiar with SCART.

Definitely this is the one to get imo..

You'll get an alright picture but it won't be as good as an HDCRT Good enough to get your gaming done.
