I've read through most of the posts and am somewhat overwhelmed by all of the different options available. This box is primarily for the wife to use and initially will be used primarily for streaming MP3s from one of our computers to a receiver through wired ethernet. I am also looking to be able to stream internet radio. Our 50 or so DVDs may follow sometime later. I'd like to have the option of a hard drive in the device, but it doesn't have to come with one. I can add that later. I want a fast and easy to use interface. Visually appealing is a bonus.

I don't want to have to do a lot of configuration. I certainly do not want an HTPC. I've already got enough computers to maintain. I'm also somewhat put off by the venerable PCH and like devices because I don't want to spend the time setting it up. I don't necessarily require plug & play, but I also don't want to be constantly tinkering with it either. I certainly don't want to have to build my own front end out of the box.

I'd prefer the budget stay around $500 - less is always better. That said, I think I've narrowed my choice down to the Tvix M6500-A. There doesn't seem to be a ton of information on them in these forums in regard to music or interface and movies seem to be the focus of most streamer threads. I'm certainly open to other suggestions. My biggest problem is that while I can find lot of specs, photos and descriptions, I see almost nothing of the user interface. Because music is of paramount importance to us, I want to know if I can queue music. I expect to be able to play a song and then browse my collection and add songs to the queue while the queue runs its course. I believe that I've read one place that it would shuffle music. How about play lists? From what I've seen of the movie interface, I'm sure it will meet my expectations.

So can anyone answer my M6500-A feature questions or offer me suggestions for alternatives?

Thanks
