Hi guys ! need some help PLEASE setting up my Rogers 3250HD box on the advance settings/setup . I have it hooked up to a Samsung HLR6168 DLP by component . . In the advance setting it ask what formats I would like ( 1080i / 480p widescreen/480p standard/720p/480i wirescreen/480i standard) . What formats should be used to obtain the overall best picture ?

The reson I went into this setup after using the "quick setup" is that I notice a few of my HD channels were letter box size and would not fill the whole screen for some reason . Many thanks for any info . :)

the HD box is made by Scientific Atlanta (#3250HD) if that helps . :)

Set it 1080i and forget it. Even at this setting you will get some programming that doesn't fill the screen - that's just the way the cable co or original signal is packaged.
