About a month ago I had my new panasonic plasma tv hooked up to my old bose cinemate. I decided to upgrade with a small budget and first got a yamaha rx-v465 receiver. I hooked it up to my ps3 and set it on pcm sound. (Is this the best choice, I've looked up alot of threads and dont fully understand) Next I bought a Yamaha 5.1 speaker setup, heres a link -
I guess I cant post a link since Im new, its on amazon and called
Yamaha NS-SP7800PN 5.1-Channel Home Theater Speaker Package (Piano Black)
I got it on clearance at B.B. for $200. The center speaker wasnt great so today I picked up the Definitive pro center 1000 speaker.
Everything sounds great but when I try the YPAO setup and it said that my polarity was wrong for the speaker setup. I checked and everything is correct, and the manual says that sometimes the receiver will say that even when everything is correct. Anyone have any experience with this? When I play a dolby true hd blu ray movie, nothing on my reciever lights up to tell me its excepting the signal. But Im pretty new at this maybe the receiver isnt supposed to. Any tips would be great.
Maybe later I can post pictures, I got a new computer with an optical out hooked up to the receiver.
