Hi,

Intending to get a WA lens for my HG20. Saw this on ebay - price looks quite reasonable for something made by Canon, and this guy is in my city, so no shipping cost. However, its NIB, so I can't test it out. The link is here:

Has anyone used this before on a Canon HF/HG series camcorder? I know the WD-H37 II is recommended, but I haven't heard much opinion on the original WD-H37.

Thanks.

That price is a good deal however a brand new one in the box goes for about ~$170. If he's local check it out and make sure you're getting the real deal...my .02

I have the WD-H43 from canon that goes on my HG10 and love it...I have a stepup ring attached to my HG21 so I can use it as well...Its a excellent WA Lens, just keep in mind it will add noticable weight to the front of your camcorder, but nothing unreasonable...Here is a picture of it attached to my HG10....
