If anyone cares to help, I would appreciate it.
Since I've installed B.Rad's WDLXTV 0.5.5 firmware, I have been trying to make my WDTV wirelessly accesible via a Sagem WIFI dongle based on the Zydas 1211 chipset ( it is supported, as listed on the wifi wiki ).
The thing is, I am trying to make my WDTV broadcast an access point / have an IP address that I can connect to via a PC or a wifi enabled mobile phone for the purpose of editing file names, deleting, uploading stuff on my WDTV. I don't want my WDTV to automatically connect to a router or a PC.
But, no matter how I set up my net.config, WDTV has no IP address at boot. Trying to scan all the network interfaces:
iwlist eth0 scanning > /tmp/mnt/sda1/iwlist_scan.txt
...it recognizes my Sagem WIFI dongle at eth0 and everything.
I am using:
- B.Rad WDLXTV 0.5.5 firmware
- wireless-mod.app.bin 0.3
net.config:
HOST=wdtv
DHCP=yes
ifconfig eth0 up
iwconfig eth0 essid WDTV
So, if anyone managed to make this thing work... feel free to reply.
