Why not run 1080i to it? You won't see the difference between 1080i and 1080p, and the Zenith with good tubes is still better than most DLPs.

You can do 1080i and it will indeed look pretty durn good. Just pick up and HD Fury so you can plug HDMI into your Zenith 900.

I think it is another case of:

"The higher the number of resolution is "better"/same way progressive is "better" than interlaced infliction that these marketing types have bestowed on consumers!!!!

Curtpalme.com is a good place to not only get the HDFury, but all of the info you could ever want about CRT projectors.

Make SURE you look at the tubes, or at least into the lenses - if the tubes are burned, your pic will be nowhere as near as good as it could be. $300 is pushing it pretty hard for a 900x, even in good condition, in my opinion. And a 100" screen is probably waaaay too big. Check Curt Palme's CRT faq at www.curtpalme.com before you do anything else! Also check this: http://www.curtpalme.com/Zenith900.shtm

And remember that you MUST have the service remote - not just a user's remote - to go with it, or you'll never be able to set it up.
