Nothing's wrong with Vizio, I used to own a VX37L. For their price they're great HDTVs. But that's what they are: cheap HDTVs with acceptable PQ. They're not high-end displays. A 50+ page thread to discuss Vizio is as ridiculous as people getting together to talk about how awesome their Ford Focus's are.

I agree. You've already bought it all, right? So why should you care? This is just a good way to advertise to the world what you have in your home so it can all be taken when you're not around someday. Hell, you may as well leave an address and location of a spare key while you're at it too! :rolleyes:

gotta love those that hate on people that buy store brand hdtvs. i spent 700 bucks on a 42" 1080p insignia lcd and couldn't be happier. could i have dropped 2 grand or so on a set? sure. but there's no f'n way i ever would.

Dude nobodies hating on anybody. If you like your low-end set great. I've seen em in action, for what you pay they look great. Fact of the matter is they can't compete with higher end sets in terms of color accuracy, black levels, shadow detail, response times, etc. You're on AVS, this is the place people come to talk about their 10,000+ home theater setups and nitpick everything. That's the point. Somebody noting that a Vizio has a number of things inherently wrong with it isn't hating, they're stating the truth.

I'm seriously considering one of the Panny V10 plasmas now that I have a living room that's not constantly brighter than Phoenix at noon.

I just wish Sam's carried them so I could trade my 47" Philips LCD for it for no extra money. :D

unfortunately.

You could go with a pair of Klipsch B-2 or B-3 speakers for your fronts. I wouldn't think you'd want something that was too much more efficient than the Quintets otherwise you could have a hard time getting it set up where you'll be happy with the sound.
