Running Windows 7 RC Build with 20 Gig 360. Im starting to use the extender feature more and had a question.

Every time I start MCE, Xbox wants to update the library. Is this normal? I was expecting to turn on xbox, connect to media center, and everything would be there. I have to wait a 2-3 minutes for music library to set (sometimes it loads pics and sometimes it doesn't.)

I just switched to a gig network and saw some speed increase. I don't have a problem with video streaming...just takes time to load music library and cover art.

Been awhile since I ran MCE but on my Vista/Elite I had no problens navigating 60gb of music.

once it loads, i have no problem browsing after everything loads..

so once it connects to xbox, the library should already be populated? (meaning i shouldn't have to wait?)

I've been reading of others having a similar experience with Window7 Media Center and the music library "re-scanning" each time they fire up the 360 as an extender.

I just moved my music library into Media Center and haven't really had a chance to test it out yet.
