Good question; it's been so long I forgot all about it and went with DVE. I noticed their website at www.avia2.com says Avia 2 is now available but seems to just be on DVD and not Blu-ray so I guess it is just an updated version of the original SD disc?

It's not a myth as far as Ovation Multimedia is concerned. They have begun the production process but have encountered unanticipated obstacles and complications along the way. This has been true for others as well. Blu-ray disc production is very different from DVD. Joe Kane has explained in the press some of the difficulties he encountered producing 'DVE: HD Basics.' The program still doesn't navigate the same on all players.

My advice is not to wait for 'Avia' on BD, if you want a calibration program. Use what's already available and get 'Avia' on BD when it is announced for sale by Amazon or some other vendor (don't bother with pre-ordering, either). No one really knows when, or even if, it will ever be finished.
