Does anyone know the difference in resolution between hdv-hd video and 3.5 to 4 megapixels stills.This is what i have been told my 126 instamatic slides can come out after conversion.

Any HD video tops out at 1920x1080 which is about 2 megapixels equivelent. But since most pictures are not 16x9 but rather 4x3 (p&s cameras) or 3x2 (DSLR), your equivelent megapixels will be even smaller when you need to add bars on sides.

Thanks, i have held slides in my film transfer adaptor [ waiting for the correct lens ring]against my cam lens and the slides dont look hd quality on my pc rooms 20" hd tv but it will be interesting to see how they look with the adaptor screwed on.
