I have been connecting to xbox live fine for 8 months now and i was on 2 nights ago. This morning i tried to connect and there was an error. it wont let me connect to the network. can anyone help me?

but it said it has the IP address

did you try disconnecting all your cables and resetting your modem?

yes i have tried that. i reset the modem and the router. it didnt work :(

Try resetting your router. the IP it displays can be a bogus "autoconfigured" adress that's bogus.

You could also have a console that's starting to die. The ethernet port on mine started to dies about a month before it RRoD'ed.
