Hi, I am trying to connect my Samsung BD-P3600 to my Samsung LCD TV via HDMI and am no getting any sound. I have checked the audio setting on my Blu-Ray and have tset them to PCM.

i assume HDMI carries sound. Should the TV automatically detect that the sound is coming over HDMI.

I would value any suggestions

I'm not 100% familiar with that model, but make sure it is not set to output audio through the toslink/optical.

I think Im ok on that part of the setup. I thought it might be the cable, but I get the same issue with another cable that I am sure works. Has to be a setup issue somewhere. Called Samsung support, he suggested just checking the audio output is PCM. That didnt work.
