Looking very seriously at the Panny G10, 50". Saw one for the first time tonight, and was kind of thrown off by the frame. First, the silver fade looks kind of odd to me (maybe it takes getting used to), and second, there is a seam near the bottom corners (ie, not the appearance of a one piece frame). Anyone else noticed this? Saw the S1, and it had a seamless frame from the front view.

The little seam near the bottom corners isn't really noticeable even when i look directly at it and even then it looks fine. The bezel is nice and thin like a Pro model and has a sort of fluid look to it. It's grown on me and i like it now.
Besides, i'm so captivated by how much better the picture quality is compared to the PZ700U it replaced none of this matters anyway.

Randy, do you (or any other) G10 owners find the silver fade at all distracting ? It's my biggest fear in purchasing on of the 12g sets.

It doesn't attract my eye at all, and it's the only thing on the front of the TV that is NOT reflective so that is a good thing. It's not distracting at all - it just kinda fades in and looks kinda pleasant. If that silver fade were not there i imagine there would be reflection from that scooped area but as it is, the fade prevents reflection there.
The Panasonic logo on the bottom is a little distracting though, but they all have that so oh well :)
