View Full Version : Help! New Pro111-FD problem

Hey guys,

Just got my pro 111FD and am in the middle of my 150hr break-in with the Evangelo 2 thumbdrive files. I tried to watch some cable HDTV and cannot get an image to come up... even after I have disconnected the USB. I do get audio from the channel, but no image... just a green full screen, sorta like one of the thumbdrive images. I have tried different HDMI inputs and no luck... still back on the green. I had previously stopped the break-in to check the looks of the TV image and had no problems like this, so I know it works.

Any ideas?

Might be a HDMI issue.

Update,

I unplugged the TV for 5 min... no change.

I unplugged the HDMI from the cable box, the TV goes black.

I unplugged the incoming coaxial cable from the cable box ... no audio, but the screen stays green.

I plug the USB back in and the break-in files will play without problem.

I also have tried alll of the HDMI inputs on the TV and no chnge.

frustrating...

Might be a HDMI issue.

Thanks for the reply.

I tried switching out the HDMI cable with a different one and still no change.

Any other ideas? Anyone?

Hi.

Definetly sounds like a handshake issue. Is your dvr going straight to the tv? Leave tv on and power cycle your dvr. Also try a different source like an xbox 360 etc, keep us posted

Was able to play a DVD thru component to the TV ... looks great, too.

Tried the component connection from the Comcast DVR and it worked.

Looks like it may be an HDMI handshake issue as you suggested. Did try turning off the cable box and no luck with the HDMI input... still green.

Will try to exchange my HDMI DVR cable box on monday.
