Good morning - I have a n00b question that I didn't see on other posts.
Around the area I notice a lot of "As-Is" advertisements for Plasma TVs, usually where they mention the screen is cracked but otherwise working.
I guess the question is this - in general, are they worth buying if under original warranty? Personally, I would prefer to go with a Panasonic under this circumstance since I know they have an extended warranty after the original one - plus, the Viera quality seems to pass all others in my opinion.
On a more technical note - why would the screen crack on Plasma TVs so easily? Is it usually related to another problem or just bad shipping? I know there are some things that will just throw up red flags, but since I still use an old school TV I'm not quite sure.
Any advice or links to a more appropriate thread would be greatly appreciated. Forum admin, if redirected to another thread, please close this so it doesn't waste others' time.
Thank you in advance for your time.
