This is the crown jewel in the Woody Allen body of work. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Thanks for posting that, I agree, one of my ten favorite films and you're right, the crown jewel by far.

Fire up the Orgasmatron and pass the Orb...

Great film, and I would watch but for the fact that MGM HD likes to run breaks in their movies and to force DD2.0 for all their movies, so I'm on the fence.

Considering that the film was made and released in mono, you should jump off the fence. And just one short break (which only is a promo for other MGM films programmed) isn't an issue either. Would you prefer to see it on another channel (TNT, TBS, AMC, etc. etc.) with tons of commercials, clutter on the screen, animated ads, and "edited for content"?

I say...Thank You MGM-HD!

Agreed. Sure, I'd like uninterrupted movies (except for when I need a bladder break and then the interruption is welcome), but I really can't complain about the one interruption on MGM when I think of the intrusions from so many other channels. And we get OAR for MGM.

DaveFi seems like he is only rarely going to be satisfied with anything. Dave, just watch the figgin' movie with it's one interruption. Or go watch the uninterrupted DVD.

First it was the sound problem, now it's the breaks in between movies, what's next? Editing? Commercials?

So don't pretend to know what I'm thinking. If you search the forum you will find a few threads where I'm applauding MGM-HD. That is clearly no longer the case.:(
