SpyderTV Pro, CalMan or HCFR. CalMan is the one many use now since Datacolor is no longer making the SpyderTV Pro since 2007/2008 time frame. CalMan takes a bit more of a learning curve as does HCFR.

Greetings

And of course you still have to buy the hardware to match it to the software. Not all hardware is a perfect fit for all technologies ... especially on the cheap end of the spectrum.

Don't forget the many hours of learning ahead of you as well.

If you are lookin gor super basic....there are little calibration tools on many Pixar discs, or even some video game discs like halo 3.

You could check those out and play around with them a little bit until you get something better.

I used the one that came on the Halo 3 disc, then tweaked it to my personal preferance until I had what looks best to me. Natural, but still sharp good looking without being dim or overly bright.

I have the harebrained idea of offering $50-75 basic calibration to make some extra pocket money. Best Buy of course is offering their calibration, and there is ISF calibration but most consumers aren't prepared to pay that much money. I reckon that if I offered decent calibration (better than people could do on their own) at a decent price then maybe it could be mildly profitable for moonlighting. Right now I'm leaning towards picking up a second-hand copy of SpyderTV Pro 2007 and the sensor.
