I have a Sharp NV100 that I purchased in 2003. I was very pleased with the video that I took with it at the beginning of it's use. I really don't want to go to an HD camera right now due to financial constraints. I just started learning to convert my tapes to DVD. The ones that I started with were what I call "event" tapes, Easter egg hunts, birthday parties, etc. What I did was set the video camera up on a tripod in the corner of the yard. I pretty much got "junk." What I am trying to find out is if I got junk because of the auto focusing? Is there a way to actually get good hi resolution video of a wide area like this? Is it a lighting issue? The video looks like it was taken with an extremely low resolution camera. I know that some video I have taken, i.e., son's birth video and other events came out awesome. I really want to set up a camera and get it all! Is there a way?
