Hey, I searched for a bit and couldn't come up with any results. I just got a sony 1252 with an older moome board which has dvi and component video. I assume it's first generation. I plug my HD-DVD player into the component output and it works great. I try the same thing with my Pioneer blu-ray player and only the green tube lights up running at 1080i but works fine at 480p. I purchased a dvi to hdmi adapter today and I can get a picture with the HD-DVD player for about a minute and then I lose the picture and have to unplug the hdmi cable and plug it back in. It doesn't work at all with the blu-ray player. I haven't tested the blu-ray player on any other source yet and I have just moved so it could be a problem with the player?? I'll test it out on my friends TV tomorrow. I'm thinking it has to do with my 25' cable which is of no name. It worked fine on my digital projector. Also, I converge the projector and the next time I use it, it's misconverged. I allowed for it to warm up before converging and before using it again and I saved the settings, any ideas as to why this could be? The projector only has 300 hours on the tubes and 1200 on the chassis. Thanks for any help!

Try a short DVI cable, anything over 10' (and heck, even shorter) can be flaky.

After converging, make sure you hit the 'store' or 'memory' button, or you'll lose all the work you've done. Also, the Sony has a number of different memory locations in it, so you need a live input signal when you're converging, otherwise it will use a random memory location, and when you then input a signal, it will jump to a different memory.

The Sony only has one total hour meter on it, how do you know there are only 300 hours on the tubes?

Hey Curt, I bought the projector from you last week. I'm thinking I have a source problem with the blu-ray player which is too bad because I bought the extended warranty and now I can't find the reciept since I moved. I'm using a dvi to female hdmi adapter. So it's a long hdmi cable that I'm using. I still need to take my blu-ray to a buddies house to test it out. If it works I'll bring back his short hdmi cable and see if that fixes the problem. I'd really like to use the dvi input though because it is noticably sharper.

You don't need receipt for extended warranty claims in 99% of the electronics stores out there.

If the player is bad, i wouldn't worry too much about it.
