Hi,

I have a Sony STR-DG920 hooked up as follows...

CABLE BOX / BD DVD >> RECEIVER >> Speakers / TV

The Blu-Ray player works great, video & sound work perfectly fine, etc. However I'm having issues with the audio when I try to watch stuff from the cable box. Video comes through just fine, but I'm not getting any audio. I've been tinkering with it for a few weeks and can't seem to figure it out.

I was messing with the settings and briefly managed to activate the audio, but the next time I turned the receiver on I couldn't managed to find the setting that worked every so briefly.

Currently just trying to get simple 2CH Audio to work. Cords / Equipment all appears to be fine. I've made sure both Speakers are set to ON with the reciever although I've noticed only the HDMI button is lit and not the L / R boxes that sometimes show when the unit is in use during certain settings.

If I switch to A.F.D which I though would work, I don't get video :| I've reset the units memory so all settings are at default.

Hooked up all the speakers and surround sound is working fine. That said, still not getting Audio over the HDMI cables OR on the correct setting?

Anyone experience something similar?

just a thought, is the cable box audio output set to hdmi?
