So now its bets on who will be the "main character" that won't be back/survive next week. I can't remember how the wording was. But this may be how they solve the secrecy issue when Jinxy was fired.

Only time will tell...

It's so obvious, though, that Jinx wasn't really fired... that Mrs Frederick signed him up for a covert op.. It doesn't work if people aren't mad at Mrs Frederick for firing Jinx.

IF he truly was fired... they would have showed that scene. All we saw was Jinx saying he was fired and asking Claudia to leave it... which seemed like him trying as best he could to keep her out of things.

Of course, they could still kill Jinx off by having him do something heroic to save Claudia or someone... but no way is he really fired. Not over that one thing.

Heck, I almost think the whole torture scene was staged by Mrs Frederick to sell that she was over the top and Jinx genuinely was contradicting her orders in front of the enemy so it would sell the firing later.

If I was a bettin' man, I'd wager that Aaron Ashmore will be in the credits and side by side with the rest of the W13 crew in that intro scene next year. The next few episodes will establish him firmly in the good guy role.

I agree that Fredricks and Jinx have a double agent plan in place.

Thanks the blonde hair did not help but since I stopped with Caprica I forgot who she was.

I figured it out, but it wasn't instant. I instantly knew I should know her, but it took me a few scenes before I realized who she was.

I had a feeling they were going to do a jinxy double agent plot but after last night I am 100 percent sure. The episode was kind of lame though.

I read this post before I saw the episode and was hoping... ;)

Another great Pete quote regarding the scared kid & Artie in the hospital. "Don't worry, I'm sure it's not the eyebrows.":D

Loved Claudia from her first episode, she and Artie made a great combo, I didn't like Artie that much until Claudia came along, she brought out the best of Artie's character too me.

I finally got around to last week's episode. It was a nice blend of humor and suspenseful plot. Did everyone catch when Claudia referred to someone named "Mulder"?

And, I always like it when Leena is in the episode, and she had a prominent role this time.

+1

Claudia and Artie have been fun to watch together. She made him less of a caricature, and he really helped develop Claudia's character.

I think that was the best episode ever of WH13. I know it's subjective, but tonight's ep had me from minute one all the way through. Pretty dark ep by WH13 standards, wow.

Couldn't agree more. Really a touching episode with some big moments. Absolutely loved the Kate Bush song running through the ending of the first hour. I look forward to "saying hello to my little friends" in 2012.

Based on "coming soon" promos for the Christmas episode... it looks like once again this year's Christmas episode will be out of synch with this season finale... and we will have to wait all the way to next season to see how the cliffhanger resolves.

Obviously that watch will have something to do with the resolution. I don't recall hearing anything about the watch, though.

It was a little on the dark side for WH13. Good episode though. I am sure the watch will reset things some how. How far will be the question. I hope it doesn't completely fix everything though. They need some real consequences. Bringing back Jinx with the metronome could be neat. They did a similar thing on the show
Torchwood and kept that character around "undead" for a season. It had some cool ramifications that could be interesting to see played out here.

The finale was definitely darker and more serious than the usual episodes. Kind of caught me by surprise. It really sucks that Jinx was assassinated because I really liked his character and the chemistry between he and Claudia. I do hope they bring him back somehow. All in all I thought it was a really good finale. Lots of loose ends to clear up next season.

I'd have to go back to the season where McPherson gave Artie that watch (they flashback-ed to a snippet from that)... but I can't remember what it is supposed to do either, though I'm guessing it provides a way to reset time or something.

I think many of us saw the Jinx-undercover thing coming a mile away, but less of us saw him dying as being certain, though not surprising... HOWEVER, I bet nobody saw the whole warehouse blowing up and taking Mrs Frederick along with it!

That surprised me.

What an ending. Great 2-hour season finale. Anthony Michael Hall was a worthy bad guy. I'm still not sold on Capt. Janeway as a regular character. Now will they use the metronome to bring back Jinx or Mrs. Frederick (if it's even possible with her)?

wonder what artifact kept Mrs Frederick young?

Anybody thinking Artie holding a special artifact(?) pocket watch might allow him to reverse time backwards?
HG Wells should have put that barrier around the bomb rather than the people so it would blow up in a small contained area instead!

Of course, the question is with what implications. It's a shame we need to wait a year to find out!

I could be wrong, but I don't think that is what happened.

In a previous episode (last season) they showed that Mrs Fredericks has a connection with the warehouse... they were going to transfer that to Claudia in the episode I'm remembering.

What I see happening (happened) is that the warehouse was blown up by a nuclear artifact device... so Mrs Fredericks experienced the same fate... it was like she was dying the same way the warehouse was, because of her connection to it.

That is my thinking also, when she started withering away, my first thought was the Warehouse is destroyed.

I'm wondering what Artie can do with the watch, of all the ones I would want to bring back it would have to be HG, but if we're gonna take a darker tone in future eps, I would guess we can't bring back some or any of these people. It was definitely a GREAT season finale.

What an awesome ending, so dark and left many questions..

I'm just wondering if it will return as Warehouse 14 or something like that.. unless Artie does something with that watch..

I'm still sticking with my prediction that Aaron Ashmore (Steve) will be a regular cast member next year. Remember the cliffhanger last season, and the device that protected Artie from being killed.

Near the end of the season finale, Sykes' forced Pete to close the portal from the ancient Regents' sanctum to the Warehouse after they used it. After that, Myka and HG Wells were searching for a way to use the portal to get to the Warehouse. I never saw Myka and HG Wells find the solution.

How did Myka and HG Wells transport themselves to the Warehouse?

If a had to guess the watch turns back time or undoes what just happened to the warehouse. I will also venture a guess and say that Mrs. Fredrick will not be brought back with warehouse automatically and will have the metronome used on her much to Claudia's horror. And to go out on a limb the metronome has some sort of side effect or time limit and Mrs. Fredrick will sometime next season die but before that transfer her power to a reluctant Claudia.

That was fun. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed Warehouse 13. This one made good use of all the characters.

When does the next season start? It'll be interesting to see how they resolve last season's bombastic ending.

Indeed it was a good episode - agreed, it was great how they made use of all of the characters.

As for next season, guessing June-ish?

Probably June or July, although I wouldn't be surprised if they delayed WH13 and Eureka until September.

‘Warehouse 13′s Fourth Season To Expand To 20 Episodes With 7-Episode Order
By Nellie Andreeva, Deadline.com - Jan. 13, 2012

EXCLUSIVE: I have learned that Syfy is finalizing a deal to pick up 7 additional episodes of its flagship series Warehouse 13, bringing the dramedy’s total fourth season order to 20 episodes. Syfy renewed Warehouse 13 for a fourth season in August with a 13-episode order, the size of the show’s first 3 seasons.

Warehouse 13, about two Secret Service Agents (Joanne Kelly, Eddie McClintock) working at a government warehouse for supernatural “artifacts,” remains Syfy’s flagship scripted series, drawing some 2 million viewers in Live+Same Day during its most recent third season. Last summer, it was used to launch the cable network’s newest drama, Alphas.

Fantastic, that helps ease the Eureka pain a little bit.

How in the world did I miss this post, especially being posted in this thread and the HOTP thread.
