reading the review it seems average while screencap look quite interesting
so what's everybody's opinion on documentaries in blu ray, like the BEST OF EUROPE serie etc ?
it's very pleasing, relaxing to watch HD documentaries but it seems several on blu ray have problems ? video noise or aliasing/stair stepping ?
most are in 1080i is it the deinterlacing issue in the chain (player amp projector ?)
I saw this on PBS in HD. The picture was pretty good. OK detail with stunning colors. The problem with most documentaries, is that they tend not to lend themselves towards repeat viewings.

Is there a song and dance number in the middle of the movie :p

There was some.
However, a great deal was razor sharp too.
Much of the monuments, etc., have never been seen with such clarity on video.
This is a very good introduction to the history of India and is recommended as such.
If greater depth is desired, there are a lot of fine books to be found at your local library.:)

Thanx for that...wasn't aware.
IIRC, that series has played on the Discovery Channel, or something similar over the years.
And it WAS beautifully filmed.;)
