I received an Asus vh236h HD Monitor today and I've hooked my PS3 up to it with an HDMI cable. Whenever any game enters a black screen (such as from pressing start after an intro), there will be no sound for 3-5 seconds and then the audio will finally fade in.

What can I do to fix this problem?

did the ps3 exhibit this behaviour when plugged into your old monitor? do you have another display of some sort to plug it into to test now?

could be an hdcp handshake problem...can you try connecting another device to the monitor to see if the same issue occurs?
