I bought the Sony DCR-HC52 last night.
I know I was getting a basic, standard definition camcorder, but I am not getting this great video quality everyone is talking about.
I filmed inside the house last night, so I assumed the grainy picture was due to low lighting. So, I decided this morning to go outside and shoot a few minues of the yard and cars passing by.
I came inside and plugged it back to the TV. The grainy picture has pretty much gone away (still a minute amount, but not much), but the video quality isn't what I expected, especially when the reviews are giving this thing "excellent" picture quality. It looks as though it was filmed with a VHS camcorder or Hi8.
Am I doing something wrong?
