hopefully this is the right place to post this (i don't post often, but i read a lot), so please forgive me... i'm so bummed!

i have an hc1500 and my bulb just blew and i have a ton of guests coming this weekend to watch some shows (entourage premeire).

i can't find any place in the bay area that sells replacement bulbs, but i don't know if i'm looking in the right places.

does anyone out there have any history finding bulbs in the bay area in-stock?
or am i just totally screwed?

sadly, he also would have to order one, but i'm coming to grips with my situation and will probably just buy a lot of beer and try and forget about my pj until next week when i can get a bulb... i can't believe it!

I'm in Houston and no one here carries lamps for projectors that I've been able to find. Office Depot claims they do but it's only a small selection, a fraction of the types that are out there.

The problem is that there are way too many makes and models and the lamps are expensive. So if a store were to decide to stock them, which ones? To try and keep even half would represent a MAJOR investment. And then do they sell them at the same discount that the online dealers do? I doubt it. As the Ferengi would say, there is no profit in that.

It's a major bummer, that's why some here strongly recommend getting a spare lamp when you're halfway through the expected life. Just in case. Doesn't help you at all right now, I know. Sorry about that.

well... 3 beers down, i'm in stage 4, which i believe is acceptance... although i am still waffling in between anger and denial.

i'm almost debating buying a slightly used 1500 on craigslist for $400, taking the bulb then selling the empty pj for $200 (probably the beer talking)...

Well, I think I have issues considering I am checking this thread and I am lying here in my bed.

Now I am wishing someone would ship on Sundays, but that's just selfish. ;)

what kills me is that I know there must be a warehouse in the bay area somwhere with this bulb...

Anyway, yeah, I'm still all consumed.

Have you already bought it and if not then search more you will find very cheap bulbs i have seen your mitsubishi model for $225 at http://www.projectorlampsworld.com/bulb/Mitsubishi/HC1500.html
I think the price is fair the delivery time the site says is 1-3 days why don`t you try this.
