ok. i got a message that my bulb was done and needed to be replaced, but it only has like 1900 hours on it. now the screen keeps turning green..is this just the projectors way of letting me know the bulb is dead? or could this be a different problem along with needing a new bulb??? ANY HELP? TIA

Check your color wheel. It sounds like you're lost some segments. If so, there should also be a lot of vibration felt through the case while it's running. If the color wheel is intact, check the projector menu, if it also affected then the projector has other, more serious problems. And no, that cannot be caused by the lamp.

Did you maybe try a factory reset for the lamp and end up putting the unit into the wrong color-space?

it's weird....the picture starts out normal, then after 5-10 minutes the colour goes all green....any ideas? i did reset the lamp thinking it might be that..but no such luck. still have the same problem.

i'm probably going to have to send it off to benq canada for repair, but man i really can't afford that right now. UGH

well guys. projector seems to be working ok now...i might be a bad connection on component, or maybe a bad cable going...i dunno. i will need a new lamp, but at only 1900 hours in econo mode i'm supposed to get 3000 hours. picture is still there so i'll wait a little till i have the cash for a new lamp. thanks for the help

If you are using component cables, that is the reason. One of the ones besides the green one is not seated properly. Or one of the RCA imputs or outputs that is causing problems.
