I have been looking around for a nice 5.1 system. I have had some help and have come down to a few options. The easiest is getting a HTIB. I have looked around and I really like the Yamaha YHT-591:

I can get for around $500.

However for a little or I could get a nice reciever and some decent speakers.

I have settled on the Klipsch HD Theater 300:

And I really like these 2 recievers:
Yamaha RX-V565
http://www.yamaha.com/yec/products/productdetail.html?CNTID=5028042&CTID=5000300
Which is around $330

and then there is the Pioneer
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Products/HomeEntertainment/AV-Receivers/PioneerReceivers/ci.VSX-919AH-K.Kuro
Which is around $320

Any help would be great. As you can see my budget is aroudn $500-$600.
I really would like all cables going into my receiver then 1 hdmi going to tv (Samsung LN46B650), and would like DTS-HD and Dolby True-HD.

So it is either simply getting the HTIB or getting the Klipsch and one of the receivers or other suggestions.

Thanks guys.

I doubt either setup would have an obvious advantage over the other. The subwoofer in the YHT-591 is 10" vs. a 6.5" in the Klipsch set. But without hearing both side by side it would be a very difficult decision just based on spec's.

Whichever option you choose I think you will get a nice setup. I would recommend the Yamaha V565 over the Pio 919 though. I have been impressed by the modest priced Yamaha units, a lot of performance for the price.
