Is there a way of finding out when a commercial will air? I really like the "Tuesday Afternoon" Visa commercial, and have been trying to record it on the PVR.

Last summer I had to record the entire Olympics when I only wanted the United Airlines commercials. There was no way to know when they would be on.

On the local level, you can often call the station. I'm not sure if the networks would be as helpful.

Yeah, this is one of those things where I would be very surprised if you got any help at the network level, and at that station level, they probably wouldn't want to bother. But, you can always post a message here, and maybe someone that works at a station will send you a PM ...

Youtube HD isn't HD. I assumed that people would know that. :D

I didn't know there is a 1-minute version of the commercial. Now I am really going to make the effort to get it. A problem I will likely run into is that I am in Canada, and they often substitute commercials over the American ones. I have 2 PVRs, and each can record 2 stations, so I will just leave them running the whole night, and fast scan through them.

Record the broadcast networks during primetime. You'll most likely see it then. If anything other than paid programming is shown during the overnight, it most likely won't be HD.

Call the TV station and ask for the program director, he'll have the schedule.

Edit: If you talk nice to him and he's not busy you might actually get a copy of the tape. I'm not sure how things like that work anymore with all the legalities now?

I have Moody Blues - Lovely To See You Live on Blu-Ray, and it turns out this song is on it. I didn't realize that because when they broadcasted the same concert on PBS they took it out. The last time I heard this song prior to the commercial was probably 25 years ago. BTW I was able to record the 30-second version on my HD-PVR tonight.

Do aquariums really look like that, or was it a CGI creation? If they do, where was this one filmed?

I believe it was composited together from open ocean and multiple aquairums. Any aquarium I've ever been to (and I've been to quite a few) the fish only spell things like "help!" and "We miss the ocean!"....but never the word "Go"

Have you never been to an aquarium?
