Here is my built in with the LG 50 PS60 and cheap Panny HTIB. I need to have a matching cabinet built under the TV to house my HK avr 325, an RC-Mini CC and the cable box. It will just be wide enough to fit all 3 and probably just high enough to fit those compnents as I want to raise the TV as little as possible.

Energy RC-10's will be going in place of the small black panny speakers.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

You could probably get away with getting a sheet of MDF and building a box with no front or back (just top, bottom, and 2 sides). I would make it no bigger than you need for the gear and breathing room (especially for the cable box). Use finishing nails, or something small to secure, and wood glue. You will probably need a middle piece as well, to give it some support for holding the TV.

Paint it gloss white to match the rest of the cabinets and set it on top of that middle cabinet. You may find you want some molding on the front face of the box to clean it up. But, I bet this is either 1) a nice temporary solution to let you know more about what you need or 2) something you end up liking enough to just keep.

Thanks JP, I'll look in to the MDF. Any other ideas out there?
