I just got an external USB harddrive which i formatted it as vfat (using Linux). I was wondering if I can plug this into my xbox 360 and have it see my Video and Music files. Has anyone done this before?

not sure about vfat.... but fat32 and HFS+, sure.

I've got an NTFS drive working fine, but not straight into the 360. Have on my network my 360 and PC. Have the PC running Tversity and have the external just hooked up to the PC.

Try it. vfat is a linux created version of fat32.
