Can anyone attest to video quality or lack of from a NMT, on a 120 screen.

That's a pretty open-ended question considering the many different factors that come into play when you're talking about Picture Quality, but you might want to take a look at the Best Room in the House (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?p=16629347#post16629347) thread.

The NMT uses the same chip in it that a BluRay. If you rip to either .m2ts or .ts, there is no compression, so the video quality is the same as a BluRay player. I just put on my first movie last night on my 120" SmX screen, played from an HDX-1000, and it looked phenomenal! One of the only down sides to the NMT at this point, is that subtitles are not the easiest thing to keep.

Blu ray playback (or more accurately 1080p playback) is pretty much the same from most all players as they all use the same (well, similar) chips.

1080i and lower resolution playback is where the men get separated from the boys. This is because the chips used for de-interlacing and up-scaling are not the same across the board.

If playback quality of "other than bluray" sources is important, then you should spend some time over in the "digital media servers and content streamers" forum looking at the different options. Just be aware that "quality" and "usability" is not universal over there. Some people tend to report that their media box works great if they can just get it to playback any video at all. Also look at the blu ray players forum as some of the newer players offer network accessed playback too. Currently, the general consensus is that the new OPPO Blu ray player has the best less than 1080p playback and it (supposedly) supports network streaming.
