I have noticed a few folks here and there with LED accents on thir racks. I have been working on my main upstairs DLP stand. (It is an all wood credenza-style stand with glass doors.) I have disassembled it stained it to match the other wood accents in the house, and am now looking for an accent lighting solution. I would like to do LED's, but I have not found a solution as of yet. I stopped in to Lowe's and eyed their selection, and found it somewhat lacking. I saw traditional Halogen undercabinet stuff...(too much heat produced for my liking...) I DID see an LED undercabinet "hockeypuck" that was motion sensitive, but it was battery operated, the packaging stated that it would go out in an hour... There were some nice elongated oval ones, wired, that were very tastefull but kinda pricey...
Online searches produced either the tape, or stage/band lighting....
I see PE has some bulbs with leads, but I did not see a wiring solution....basically I am looking for a wired solution that has 2/maybe 3 bulbs that has the same idea as the undercabinet stuff... and I can fasten inside the glassed in areas to light up my woodwork....
As always all suggestions are greatly appreciated....

Just to throw something out there, but these little guys are pretty damn bright and you can wire them up to work off of any old "wall wart" transformer you might have laying around (each light takes about 3 volts, so you could even wire 3 in series and run them off a 9 volt battery just to try it out.)

You can mount them in these and they are small enough that you can mount them out of sight.

If you know which end of the soldering iron to hold, it is really pretty easy to wire these up. If they don't light up, just switch the contacts around as LEDs are polarity sensitive (they are still diodes after all.)
