White background has a bluish tint in the middle and looks correct to slightly reddish close to the screen edges. Can this be adjusted out?

I have the 85u and it suffers from uniformity as well but not like yours.
The only thing I would suggest is to run the RGB patterns off of its service menu, memory card or a player for a while. That might minimize the issue.
Try lower contrast if it helps.

Thanks for the reply. The contrast is set pretty low at 32. I reported the issue to Pasnasonic who sent some techs out today. They saw the issue and wanted to take the TV to the repair shop. They are going to send one of their experienced tech to look at it.

I will report the outcome.
