Hi everyone. I'm trying to set up a Pronto TSU9600 and two RFX9600s but I'm having some sort of network issue. I use a Sonicwall as my router/firewall and by default Sonicwalls assigns two different networks for wired and wireless clients. That means my RFX9600s are on 192.168.20.0 while my TSU9600 is on 192.168.25.0. Even tho it appears my DHCP server has assigned all the devices a proper IP or even if I assign everything a static IP with a gateway, I can never get the TSU9600 to talk to the RFX9600s. I was only able to do so by some creative VLANing effectively putting the RFX9600s on the wireless subnet.
It kinda breaks my "standard" but it isn't a big deal. I could leave it this way but I'm wondering if anyone knows for sure that these devices need to be on the same subnet or will they work across a router? I doubt my Sonicwall is blocking anything as I have relaxed some of the wireless security on it and I have wireless laptops that have no problem connecting to wired desktops. Nothing out of the ordinary shows up on the Sonicwall's logs either so I'm suspecting some sort of broadcast traffic takes place.
