jpdeuce 07-22-09, 07:13 AM Dang dood, that looks like a pretty sweet place to hang out. I definitely would be wanting a poker table down there though...I actually thought you were about to take us into the "back room" where the table was.
What is that stand up system with the multiple controls, the plasma on the wall, and 39K games? That looks like my next project. :D
i hve the same questions. 39k games incredible.
the hole room was very nice:D
What pinball did you get?
whiskey > work 07-22-09, 09:19 AM sweet basement. And that arcade game is out of control!
mmeister 07-22-09, 10:05 AM Looks great EQ- could you provide some more info on the software/program used in that last multi-game system you showed and where did you get that great big controller?

Any more info you could provide regarding that arcade machine? I assume you arer running this off a PC with a bunch of emmulator software on it?
I have been wanting to do something similar, and would appreciate any additional info you could provide regarding hardware/software system requirements, etc.
Thanks

next project is Hyperpin, Virtual pinball machine
cpotteke22 07-23-09, 08:56 AM Checked out mameroom- that console is sweet. I've downloaded Hyperspin, MAME, and a few other emulators and some ROMs. Couple questions:
What type of motherboard and processor are you running?
What type of interface does that console use- USB, Firewire?
Operating system?
Im thinking of using my old HTPC motherboard (Nvidia 8500) and graphics card.
EQRoxxx 07-23-09, 11:24 AM Forget what mobo and chip set, just know its a 3.6 duel core, 6 TB HD sata, Control panel takes a whooping 8 USB slots. Only use XP for your emulating needs... less driver issues..

Thanks for the reply. I definately wont need the storage you have, but 8 USB slots is unreal. Probably going to go with a Core 2 Quad similar to what I have in my HTPC. ]
Just out of curiosity what kind of ROMs are you running on there that requires that kind of CPU?
Thanks again

Seriously; Im running my cabinet on a P4 3.2GHz w/ 2GB Ram. 256MB Video, and Win XP.
It's gotta be something that uses 3d rendering, like Tekken.

Good point, I forgot that he mentioned in the first youtube vid that he's running 3D on some games.
I'm probably going with a similar setup to yours. That said, what are some other sites/forums that have good info regarding this kind of build? I've found a few, but most seem to be focused on emus and ROMs, rather than the hardware side of things.

byoac.com (http://arcadecontrols.com/arcade.htm) is probably the best place to start. They have a ton of schematics and support for you, and it's all really accesable.
Also, check out ultimarc.com for parts. They're in the UK, but it's really the only place I trust to order from.
EQRoxxx 08-02-09, 06:05 AM Heres a Video of it in action, with Street Fighter 4.
