Since I have less than a dozen 7.1 titles, discrete 7.1 input is not as big a deal for me as HDMI connectivity or room correction was. Still, I'm surprised how much they can squeeze out of the ol' girl. Upon release, it could only input 1080i/60 and 5.1 PCM. Last summer they gave us 1080p/24/50/60 and this year we got 7.1 PCM. Who knows, if they delay their next platform any longer, we may end up with PLIIz height channels. Heh. thebland 10-27-09, 07:03 PM Thanx Jeff. To this day, the 7.1 release of Pan's Labrynth is the most impressive sonic experience ever in my theater.:) sdurani 10-27-09, 07:55 PM To this day, the 7.1 release of Pan's Labrynth is the most impressive sonic experience ever in my theater.:)I have that on HD DVD (my only 7.1 title on that format). Loved it in the theatres, but never got around to re-watching it at home. Time to peel off the shrink wrap (and grab a box of kleenex). sfogg 10-27-09, 09:21 PM Even Halcro got this right over two year ago!!!:D How is that Room EQ on your 8 channel input. ;) Shawn thebland 10-27-09, 09:54 PM How is that Room EQ on your 8 channel input. ;) Shawn EQ?
