I'm redoing the drop ceiling in my theater room [ Painting the hangers Mickie Mouse Black and wrapping the panels in a black sound transparent material ] I've been think about using ridged fiberglass panels like Owens Corning 703 in place of the ceiling panels around the edges and in the corners of the ceiling because with the wrap on them the would look just like the other panels ....would this help or am I just wasting my time???:confused::confused:

Are you asking whether it would help for bass traps ? ... I believe I have read on here where just stuffing the cavity above the drop ceiling will help with bass trapping ... not sure if you need to go to the expense of rigid fiberglass

I've just noticed that when they show panel systems for rooms they not only have them on the walls but over the front speakers etc., and know they put bass traps in the corners. I'm thinking of building panels for my walls so while I have the ceiling apart I'd do what I could with it ;-}
