Any ideas on how to blackout a room that you are currently renting out?
Obviously i could paint it, but that might not go so well here shortly when i move into my house. Surely i'm not the only person on here renting property.

Lightweight curtains/drapes where you can hang them from light duty rods that don't require big holes in the walls. Remove and putty the holes when moving out.

And hopefully you can re-use them in your new house. I've also used a Da-Lite 92" wide screen on a tripod once while in an apartment - big screen home theater with no mounting holes at all!

The cheapest way to black out a room temporarily is to hang some big garbage bags over the windows. You can tape them to the window frame with painters tape and remove later. From the outside the windows will look black.
