Hello all,

I am def a noob to the "remote" world, was looking at a unoversal remote and have been doing a lot of reaidng.

My biggest questions i what do you get out of a $200 remote vs a $50 remote?

Trying to find the right one for me :D

any thoughts would be appreciated!

www.remotecentral.com has a great number of reviews about different remotes and functionality. Generally, you get LCD screens, rechargeable batteries, and more functionality (more macros, more devices) with more expensive remotes.

Good advice. Don't forget RF. There are exceptions to the more functionality for more $$$, especially among harmony's. The harmony 1100, which, despite being quite expensive, does zero macros (sequences). The 520 is 12 device, and it's replacement, the 510, is 5 device, for the same price. So read the specs carefully.
