I have a Motorola DCH3416 in a cabinet and would like to use the remote without opening the cabinet. Comcast says there is no such thing for that unit. Anyone know of a remote control signal receiver (IR) for this unit?

I just ordered the Next Generation Remote Control Extender (#2 popularity on Amazon for remote-control extenders) for this same issue. I've read on AVS Forum that it drains the comcast remote battery quickly. I'll post after I get it hooked up. I also plan to use the extender for my amp and DVD player.

The next gen is an excellent solution. But any IR repeater or RF system will work, if battery drain is an issue. There are many inexpensive ones like leap frog, power mid, radio shack, etc. Take your pick.
