I'm trying to find a STB to feed a HD projector. My client is using a private cable network which consists of QAM & 8VSB signals modulated onto a single line. I've seen a few STBs that can handle the off-air signal & many that can handle QAM but have yet to find a product that can do both. The ideal unit would have a remote control.

There are a few options for STB's that receive 8VSB and QAM. Most (if not all) only support "cable" or "antenna" and don't typically (AFAIK) integrate both over a video output.

You also used to term "modulate onto a single line". If you anticipate re-modulating to an RF channel... it can't be done without a major expense. You have to use a video cable such as component or HDMI and also take audio cables into consideration.
